About us - NCRA

Our Vision

To be an independent enabler in establishing Sino-Dutch cooperation in the areas of innovation, talent exchange and best practices sharing.

As a result we will contribute to long-term prosperous partnerships at equal playing fields and equal footings between China and the Netherlands for businesses, academia and governmental institutions.

In the past 30 years quite some number of Dutch citizens have received official recognition for making strong contributions to the Sino-Dutch cooperation. Many have worked and lived or studied for a substantial time in China, and have acquired an in-depth understanding of doing business, building partnerships and teaching at universities. They have experienced the cultural context while living as a foreigner in China. These Dutch citizens, with an in-depth understanding of China, are a valuable asset to nurture such long-term partnerships.

There are many Chinese students in the Netherlands and there are many Dutch students in China. These students are the future ambassadors for a better cooperation between China and the Netherlands. The NCRA has the ambition to share the rich experience of its members and will promote initiatives to improve the social engagement in their hosting countries.

Our Mission

The mission of NCRA is to build and maintain a network of Dutch citizens with an in-depth understanding of China.

The NCRA offers an independent platform for constructive dialogue to explore opportunities to improve and to remove barriers towards the long-term cooperation’s and exchanges.

NCRA will focus on three areas:

Supporting initiatives to mentor Chinese students in the Netherlands to improve their understanding of the Dutch culture and social and economic environment.
Supporting delegations from China to find the right connections and to manage the expectations for both delegation participants and the Dutch hosting organizations
Create dialogue between Dutch and Chinese experts on sectoral developments, through development of bespoke events and/or participate in other official events

The NCRA network consists of active professionals having access to a huge network of subject mattered experts (SMEs), policy makers, academia and entrepreneurs. The NCRA network offers a channel to talents and experts, to business opportunities or any other needs for cooperation.
